Need some quick activities for your Halloween centers or occupational therapy planning? I love to celebrate during the full month of October. Here are a few of my favorites Halloween activities to do with my students.
For sensory exploration, I love the good old fashion pumpkin carving.
For fine motor, gross motor, and visual perception here are a few low-cost ideas.
- Sort colored beads into matching molds from the Dollar Store.
2. Sort mini Halloween-themed erasers into a muffin tin.
3. Sort Halloween-themed stickers onto paper.
4. Witch hat ring toss from Oriental Trading.
5. Make Pumpkin Jack-o-lantern Halloween Sticker Sheets.
6. Roll and Draw a Witch or Jack-o-Lantern. Check out these freebies in my store.
7. Buy orange, black and purple pom-poms, and laminate matching cardstock. Place a strip of velcro on the front of each piece of paper and hang them on the wall. I dump the pom poms onto the floor and have students pick them up and attach them to the velcro correct color paper. Great for vestibular input as well as fine motor and visual perception.
Here are a few Halloween craft ideas.
