I love sorting activities. I made a simple recycle and trash sorting resource you will find in my free resource library. To add a little fun I found small desk trash and recycling cans on Amazon. You can have your students sort the pictures into the correct cans. I also love having my students sort stickers and sort objects by color. I found great stickers to sort, as well as, mini plastic recycle bins to sort into. I use legos, pom poms, and beads for sorting. You can also use the earth squish balls in a ball toss game or as fidget toys.

I also use crafts to work on a variety of foundation skills. Here are a few that incorporate fine motor, visual perception, executive function and sensory skills.

If you are looking for more ways to work on visual perception, fine motor, handwriting keyboarding or social-emotional learning check out all the Earth Day themed activities and worksheets in this bundle.

I have a lot of students working on improving their keyboarding skills. They love working on typing with my new series of build a sentence Boom Cards and Roll a Sentence Activities.
